September 2016 temperatures
According to Nick Stokes's take on NCEP models
, September looks likely to be the warmest month (as an anomaly) since May. Given the source of the NCEP data, this is more likely to be evident in the surface data sets than the satellite lower troposphere versions; even so, UAH and RSS have also both roughly responded to the high temperatures being detected by the surface models since the peak of the El Nino - much to the vexation of the fakes.
If UAH posts yet another consecutive warmer month, as it did over the past 2 months, then expect there to be much conspiratorial chatter at WUWT. It would also pretty much set the seal on 2016 being the warmest year in the satellite record. Much gnashing of teeth to come if that turns out to be the case.
